The officers searched Bartolomei and found he was carrying cocaine, police said. He was arrested and spent the night in San Mateo County jail, Robbins said.
Police noted Bartolomei matched the description of a white male in his late 30s suspected of robbing the Bank of America on Laurel Street in San Carlos the afternoon of Sept. 3.
The suspect, wearing a black baseball cap and blue shirt, handed the teller a note demanding cash. After receiving the money, he fled in a dark gray Acura.
On Wednesday, three witnesses, including the teller, identified Bartolomei as the robber, Robbins said. Police then arrested Bartolomei, who is on probation and denied the charges, Robbins said
