A man wielding a sawed-off shotgun held up an east-end bank Thursday, just steps away from Arch Street Public School and Canterbury High School.
The Major Crime Unit is investigating after a man entered an Arch Street bank through the rear entrance on Thursday at 2:48 p.m., approached a teller and then brandished a shotgun, laying the weapon across the counter.
The man gave the teller a black plastic bag and ordered the teller to fill it with money.
The suspect then fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.
The man spoke French and English, stood 5-feet 8-inches with a slim build, tanned skin and sunken cheeks.
