He wanted small bills, and that's what he got $45 to be exact, police said.
Police arrested a man who allegedly robbed the Mountain America Credit Union at 1225 S. Redwood Road last week for a roll of bills that would hardly fill up most gas tanks nowadays.
According to charges filed this week in 3rd District Court, the man, 51, entered the credit union and asked the teller for 'small bills.' When she asked for his account number, he repeated his request and added, 'I don't want to hurt anyone.'
The teller showed the man her empty till, so he demanded the money she had in her hand at the time $45 and left the credit union, the charges said.
The teller later identified the man in a photo lineup. He has been charged with second-degree felony robbery
