Ottawa police are investigating a bank robbery on Arch Street Thursday afternoon. Police said a man entered the Caisse Populaire building, near Smyth Road and Saunderson Drive, shortly after 2:45 p.m. and approached a teller. He took a sawed-off shotgun from his jacket and placed it on the counter before giving the teller a black plastic bag, police said. The man left the bank with an undisclosed amount of money. He is described as white, slim and in his mid-40s. He was about five-foot-eight and tanned with sunken cheeks
