You can t do better than draw on the Bard for inspiration, but you probably couldn t do worse than FX in adaptating his material for Sons of Anarchy, debuting Wednesday night at 10.

In the opener, a rival gang raids the warehouse belonging to the club, steals their cache of guns and torches the place.
Two illegal aliens are killed in the inferno, prompting law enforcement agents to investigate the gang.
Elsewhere, Jax discovers a box of photographs and writings left by his deceased father, and his conscience revs its long-idle motor.
In the biggest departure of her career, Katey Sagal, best known for her stints on the sitcoms Married With Children and 8 Simple Rules, plays the gang s matriarch, Gemma Teller Morrow, a woman more ruthless than 10 of the men combined.
